Sport for Us: Digital Activities Promoting Inclusion and Sustainability in Sitting Volleyball
An Erasmus+ Sport Collaborative Partnership expanding sitting volleyball across Europe through digital tools, blended learning, and a stronger, more inclusive community.
Why sitting volleyball, why digital
Around 1 in 4 adults in the EU live with a disability, yet participation in sport remains far lower among people with disabilities than the general population. Sitting volleyball is one of the most accessible team sports in the Paralympic movement — playable by athletes with and without disabilities, on equal terms — but it still lacks the digital tools, youth pathways, and women's leagues that would let it grow the way it could.
VolleyABLE responds to that gap directly: rather than another isolated local initiative, it builds a shared, open-access digital ecosystem — a training app, e-learning materials, storytelling, and a documentary — so that coaches, volunteers, and beginners in any partner country (and beyond) can find a way in.
What VolleyABLE sets out to do
General Objective 1
Increase access to sitting volleyball across Europe and support the long-term sustainability of sitting volleyball organizations through blended and digital sharing practices.
